AB-HWC is a transformative health care application designed to bring comprehensive health services to users' fingertips. It supports Ayushman Bharat's ambitious goal to shift from segmented health service delivery to a more integrated approach, catering to preventive, promotive, and ambulatory care across primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. The application forms a core part of a nationally coordinated effort to establish 150,000 Ayushman Arogya Mandirs, which are health and wellness centers providing access to an extensive range of medical services.

These Ayushman Arogya Mandirs are milestones in ensuring that health care is more accessible, offering free essential drugs and diagnostic services along with general health services. They focus on a variety of needs, from maternal and child health services to non-communicable diseases, mental health, ENT, ophthalmology, oral health, geriatric and palliative care, and emergency care. By expanding the availability of services traditionally confined to district-level facilities, this digital tool guarantees comprehensive care and introduces a continuum of care approach to the community.

The app facilitates the real-time collection and submission of health data, even in areas with limited internet connectivity, as it works in both online and offline modes.
